The 23-storey slender tower located in the Aldgate, west London will become a part of fast growing commercial hub. It will include well serviced offices and apartments with amazing city views. In order to concentrate public life around new development pedestrian route will pass through the ground floor, opening up space of lobby, café and bar for visitors from all sides.
The basic idea of the architectural appearance is clean lines directed upward. To emphasis it transparent floor-to-ceiling glass panes were chosen as the main curtain walling material.
But that the glazing does not look too simple and standard, it is decorated by silk printed ceramic frit similar to “barcode” pattern. Thanks to this element the facade looks vibrant and modern, without losing its functionality. Triple glazing units contains also one glass with low-e coating and argon filled therefore energy saving properties are also provided.
