The project of Library/Arts/Culture/Community complex in Ireland (Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown) is the result of an RIAI design competition, which was won by Carr Cotter Naessens Architects.
GLASSBEL supplied energy efficient insulated glass units with impressive dimensions: up to 5.7 m. The structural glazing and extra clear glass create the sense of delicacy and weightless appearance of the museum, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy an eye-catching view area of Dublin Harbour.
The outside area at Moran Park has been landscaped to include a new water feature and gardens, which can host events.
Additional architectural details of DLRC are glass fins with Sefar gold mesh (and bevelled edge, which became the unique element of glazing).
